Anisha Gopie is a pioneering member of the Sanskriti Arts Ensemble. Anisha has taught adult and kids classes for the company for 3 years and continues to support the art form with dedication. She has completed her diploma in Human Resources at Seneca College and has just graduated with her Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University.
Training in Dance: Anisha has been learning Indian dance for 23 years and is a professional performing artist for over 18 years now. Her study of Indian dance started with Kathak as a child and has since taken her to explore many other forms of East and West Indian dances. She has been meticulously trained in various cultural forms of Indian dancing such as Bhangra, Garba Raas, Rajasthani, Lavni, Bollywood and Chutney.
Accomplishments: Anisha made her debut as Dance Director for the musical ‘Ravi’ in 2006 and has been a popular face on Indian cultural performance stage and commercials, the most recent being Rogers Wireless. The list of her performances is almost endless with top Bollywood stars, including Temptations 2005, Breathless 2004, and Sukhwinder Singh Live in Concert to name a few.
